Gluten-Free “Freedom”!
Today we can not only celebrate our freedom in America, but let us celebrate our freedom to be healthy, healed, and vibrant from the inside out!
I often see in my consulting so many “gluten-sensitive” clients feel like they are restricted from so much, like it’s a burden to avoid gluten… does this resonate with you?
I admit, it bothers me from time to time as well. I’m not going to lie; it’s more work to be gluten-free and healthy. It’s more work to be educated, research, and repeatedly choose organic, chemical-free, grass-fed, sustainable, sprouted, whatever healthy OCD Food issue I decide is important to me.
However, today I really want to challenge YOU to have a different perspective: you ARE ahead of most people in finding your path to deep rooted health and wellness! Others go their WHOLE LIVES feeling miserable, eventually developing autoimmune diseases, dealing with pain, weight fluctuations, skin disorders, neurological disorders (I could go on and on!)… but YOU get a fresh new start, because you know exactly how to live and age with grace in a healthy body and mind!
You are healing yourself more and more each day, with every good choice you make- listening to your body, and choosing what is good for you. Don’t get discouraged, get motivated!
Going gluten-free is a lifestyle, not a diet- just like you’ve read on magazine covers day in and day out “losing weight” and being healthy is a lifestyle, not a quick fix diet. You must develop this mentality from the time you wake up to the moment you hit the hay. Embrace what is good for you.
Gluten-free LIVING is more than just not eating gluten. It’s surrounding yourself with nourishing, nutritious, REAL food! Look how far you have come! Today, you should applaud yourself for doing such great things for your ONE AND ONLY BODY. I suggest applying this to your all areas of your life: relationships, work, spiritual, & even your thoughts and emotions. Give yourself good things, cut out the bad, the negative, and the draining parts of your life that serve you no purpose. Make things simple. Make things matter, give your day a great purpose. Exercise your new found FREEDOM to BE gluten-free and healthy in every way!
Take the time today to acknowledge all of your hard work that has led you to this point. Recognize that you are worth every question you asked at a restaurant, you are worth every extra penny spent on that better meal option, and worth every minute you take to prepare yourself and family a nourishing, delicious, amazing meal. YOU ARE WORTH IT.
